DIETING LESSONS

By Kim Alexis

When Kim was discovered at 17, John Casablancas, a top NY agent told her words that cut to her inner most being, “You need to lose 15 pounds.” She had been swimming over 5 hours a day and eating what she wanted. Now, all of a sudden, things had to change. Kim was driven to succeed and learned that dieting was not easy, even at 17 years old. Kim takes you through her pains and struggles with numerous diets. She shares her longings and cravings and what it took to be a successful thin model in New York City. She will teach you what she learned over the years; what diets work and what to avoid and why. She will also teach you how to look at dieting in a new way. What you think about yourself, you will become. Here is an example from her book…..”When people try to change you; they are basically saying you aren’t good enough the way you are right now. Since part of dieting is a mindset, let me get something straight right now, we can all better ourselves. Successful people are ones who take what others say and “weigh it” (haha) against what they think of themselves and what they have heard before. If you want to read on, you are successful!” Come learn Kim’s lessons of becoming her best while practicing self acceptance!

Lean Clean book cover

LEAN CLEAN

By Kim Alexis

Cleaning is a part of our daily life. We brush our teeth; we clean our dishes, the dog and the car! Let’s face it, things get dirty. We replace filters in machines like the A/C unit and our car engines; we change the sponges at the kitchen sink because they get too dirty to be efficient to clean anymore. What makes you think that we don’t need to clean out our bodies too? Our organs act like filters to clean out unwanted chemicals from our bodies, but what happens when there are too many toxins to handle?
I find it amazing when I take notice of all the different chemicals that I come into contact with daily and all the different chemical additives in food. It is a constant awareness to keep away from toxins in the environment, but as you will read in this book, I think it is worth it. I have concentrated on detoxifying my body since I first started to model at 18. There are no disputes from anyone that eating clean, healthy unprocessed food is bad for you; that breathing fresh air is harmful. Many of us are so overwhelmed with the daily chores of life that we forget to take care of the very body that carries us through the day. No wonder we are a tired, overweight society. Let’s learn something and start paying attention to what we touch, smell and taste each day. This book teaches you what to be aware of and how to help the body clean itself out. It’s time to get lean and clean!
